2nd Annual Amanda Tree Tournament December 7-9, 2012

 

Please come out and join us in a very special tournament benefiting Simi Valley Girls Softball, The Amanda McPherson Foundation, and Toys For Tots! Visit with Santa, decorate cookies and listen to holiday music! 1st and 2nd place trophies! Amanda Spirit Awards! Awards for the most jolly uniforms and lots of other fun stuff!

Divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U - Space is limited to 12 teams in each age division.

Open to all recreation/winterball teams.

Please no travel teams. Age is as of 1/1/2012 (Standard ASA Divisions)

Bring a toy for the Amanda tree to be donated to Toys For Tots!

Entry fee is $400 per team with a three game guarantee

A very special little girl named Amanda McPherson lost her battle with Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome. Amanda touched the lives of all she knew and her spirit continues to touch many hearts and change lives through her wonderful family, Phil, Mary, and Krista. The Amanda McPherson Foundation was started as a memorial to this special little girl who shared her love, hugs, and strength with those around her.

The SVGS family has started a tradition that is called the “Amanda Tree”. Please bring an unwrapped toy and place it under the Amanda Tree at the tournament. These toys will be donated in Amanda’s name through KHAY 100.7 radio to Toys for Tots. Please bring joy to Amanda in heaven as she watches the smile on each child’s face as they open one of her “gifts” on Christmas morning!

Please download and complete the 2012 Amanda Tree Tournament Roster. This roster along with Proof of Players Age (Copy of Birth Certificate or ASA Card), Photo and Proof of Insurance are to be turned in one hour before first game.

Registration Tables will be available at each field on Friday and Saturday. Either the Manager or their representative must show up prior to each teams first game. Each Team is required to have the following:

At the time of registration each team will be given 3 Amanda McPherson Spirit Awards. The Spirit Award is to be given to 1 player from the opposing team after the game. The League would like to be sure that a different player from each team receives the award. Letter from Phil and Mary McPherson about the Amanda Spirit Award .
